Action Zone is here!

Updated: Jul 23, 2018

On June 28th, the Action Zone team welcomed friends old and new to celebrate the organization's launch and award of the Veterans Florida entrepreneurship program grant. In the first year that Veterans Florida was able to open proposals to any company, Action Zone became the first non-profit organization not connected to a Florida university or college to be awarded the grant.

Action Zone serves the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas providing entrepreneurship training and skill building for aspiring entrepreneurs who are Veterans, Reservists, National Guard, military spouses and dependents. Soon to open an office in Ybor City, Action Zone is will hold informational meet and greets to begin registering Veterans interested in the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program (VFEP). Workshops and entrepreneurship courses will be announced after the VFEP begins in late August.

Gettign acquainted and networking was the name of the game at the Action Zone celebration at Bad Monkey.

Shun Lee, Brian Lemelin and Win Boggs spent much of the night working on something fishy.

Juliann Nichols and Lori D'Alessio, JULO Strategy, and Valerie Lavin and Rosie Lee, ActionZone take a well-deserved break from planning the CEO Mindset workshops, the capstone to the VFEP offered exclusively through Action Zone.

Though usually hyper-focused on his Vets2Success programs, Bryan Jacobs delivers a punch line with a perfect deadpan form.

We just couldn't be more thankful to those who came out to show their support for Action Zone! Celebrating from left to right: Russ Barnes, Steve Webley, George Zwierko, Valerie Lavin, and Niki Wilson.
